Southern Oaks Inn was built by cousins Bobby Neal and Steve Faseler of Nixa, Missouri and opened the same week as the Shoji Tabuchi Theater, on May 1, 1990. Steve’s mother, Frances, (Bobby’s aunt) managed the motel until 2003. Frances’ gift of Southern Hospitality earned Southern Oaks Inn the reputation of one of the friendliest motels in Branson. The first phase of the motel consisted of 60 rooms, outdoor pool, lobby and four family suites. In 1993 the demand for more lodging in Branson prompted us to add 80 rooms, a conference room, and the second largest indoor pool in Branson.
The oak carpentry in the lobby came from Bobby’s farm in Nixa and was logged by Bobby and Steve themselves.
Through the years we have seen families return with kids, and later grand-kids to enjoy the amenities, hospitality and attractions that make Branson a great family destination.
